News Photographer/Editor
My name is Bruno Giglio and I have been a news photographer/editor for over 4 years, now working at CBS 4 in Miami.
Prior to becoming a news photographer, I worked as a videotape editor for 5 years at WPTV and WTMJ in Milwaukee, Wisc.
I have covered tropical storms, brush fires, space shuttle launches, presidential campaign rallies, and I’ve also been faced with numerous major breaking news situations. I am proficient in working our satellite live truck, which has given me the opportunity to go live from many big news stories outside of our viewing area.
After working for a year at WPTV in West Palm Beach, I moved to working from 3 p.m. to midnight at the Treasure Coast bureau, which was an even bigger challenge. I worked under very little supervision alongside a reporter, and we covered a very large area north of Palm Beach County. We were always expected to be live on the field with a PKG for the 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. shows. Many times, we also were live during one of the early shows (5-6:30 p.m). When needed, I also worked as a multimedia journalist. That's when I shot, wrote, voiced and edited an entire story. Everything is a lot of work, but TV is still something I really enjoy doing.
